Ferryhill Sport & Education Centre.

Andrew Hubbard

Chair of the Board of Trustees

Andy joined the Board of Trustees in May 2018. Andy has worked in Business Development for over 30 years and that experience has had huge benefits in the Boards mission to develop and grow the charity.  Andy enjoys his role as Chair of the Board as it is both challenging and rewarding. He enjoys seeing the facility develop to meet the needs and demands of the community today. Andy used the centre as a teen to play badminton when attending Ferryhill Comprehensive School. 

Andy enjoys spending time with his family in his free time. Himself and his wife have 7 Children, 3 Grandchildren and a cat between them.

Ken Tait

Treasurer / Trustee

Ken joined the Board of Trustees in June 2017 and has been Treasurer since then. Ken is a retired Civil Servant having worked for DWP for 15 years. Prior to that Ken was a manager of a Kitchen supplier. Ken has been a member of the Ferryhill Indoor Bowls Club for a number of years and was their previous Treasurer. Today when not supporting the charity, Ken enjoys playing bowls, and spending time with his wife Ida and their children and grandchildren.

Laura Leigh Davies

Secretary / Trustee

Laura Leigh Davies is one of the founder members of the Charity. Laura has supported the CIO since the constitution was first founded and brings to the board a wealth of business support and acumen. Laura is a local business owner born in Ferryhill. The Ferryhill Community Partnership CIO and the building under which the charity operates is close to her heart, she took her first dance class in the building! Over the years Laura has been recognised for her community and charitable work and was a natural fit for the board. Laura wants nothing but the best for the local community and FSEC.

Joe Patullo


Joe joined the Board of Trustees in April 2018. Joe is the Manager of TEP Electrical in Darlington and brings a wealth of management and facilities experience to the Board. Joe is very supportive of the centre and offers vast amounts of support on projects relating to the maintenance and up keep of the building. In his spare time Joe enjoys cycling.

Paul Eddy


Paul has been a Trustee of the Ferryhill Community Partnership since the building re-opened for use as a community run facility. Paul is the Secretary of Seconds Out boxing gym based at the centre. When not at the centre Paul is employed by the National Youth Offending Service.
